“Zum Schwarzen Kameel” is a superb very old Viennese restaurant (in reality a café-bar-restaurant) in the centre of Vienna.
It offers a good menu selection to satisfy most palates and from small to large hunger! You can drop in for a quick coffee, wine, beer, sandwich(es) etc or something more substantial.
The prices are acceptable for the quality of the menu, the location, the atmosphere, the interesting guests, etc.
Open throughout the day, allowing for good (dry) weather (it rains in Vienna about 8 days a month), it is simply a marvellous place to sit out and enjoy the ‘scenery’ however you want to interpret it!
The tables outside are fairly close to each other so that it is not difficult, if you are so inclined, to pick up conversation with the neighbouring table. Often we had friendly neighbours with good tips (from wine, menu, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc).
If you have a sweet tooth, do not at any price miss out on the Marillen (apricot) Palatschinken (pancake). Simply out of this world!
And, as we both like Aperol Spritz (with Prosecco!), here is, in our opinion, one of the best anywhere! Indeed, on our last day, before heading for the the airport, we included a short visit for a last Aperol Spritz and a Marillenpalatschinken!!!

Neben all den wunderbaren Dingen zeichnet sich diese Bar/Restaurant durch die Menschen aus, die hier zu Werke gehen. Vor und hinter der Schank, in der Küche und im Service. Danke dafür.
